I’m Your Photographer Tunuviel Luv
I’m what happens when a theater kid turns raver teen turns theater adult who is hit with life-altering events.
After spending 15 years as a theater professional: a prop artisan, an educator and one of the BAy Area’s only special blood effects designers, 2020 turned the world, and my career, upside down.
One day I found myself searching through a” free” pile on a neighborhood sidewalk. I didn’t know then why I felt compelled to bring home the worn leather case with an old camera in it but I did. That camera happened to be a 1950’s 35mm rangefinder in perfect condition. Until that day I had never even heard the word rangefinder much less tried to use one. What that old leather bag really contained was a new passion and new direction.
Since then, I’ve been photographing people and nature on film and digital with the joy, playful nature and movement toward experimentation that comes with being a life-long artist.
When I’m not behind the camera I’m behind a horror book (probably from the library), behind my kids and our dog hiking through the redwoods or behind the keyboard writing the advice column for Cream Scene Magazine: Ask Your Anarchist Mother.
